Lancaster, SC (June 27, 2009) Chris Steele and his Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company race team made their way to the high banks of Lancaster Speedway, one of the few big 1/2 mile dirt tracks left in the southeast. After practice, Chris and the crew decided the lap times were fast enough that the car didn't need any adjustments. Chris drew the pole position for his heat race and went on to win the heat race with ease. Once again, they decided to leave the car alone as they were 8/10's per lap faster than the other race teams there. When the green flag flew for the feature, it was all Chris and his yellow #2. The race was slowed by one caution flag on lap 5 and when the feature ended, Chris was a whole straight-away ahead of the rest of the field. Chris said in Victory Lane, "There have been a couple of other races we should have won earlier this year, but to come back to my hometown and win our first race of the year is awesome!" Look for the CP machine in Hartwell Georgia next weekend on July 4th for the Fastrak Touring event paying the winner $5000.00
